Describe your buisness and what your product was. Once again for B&E my group decided to do painted rocks our buisness wasnt really anything special? just a buisness selling painted rocks? I dont know?. (we did it last year as implied in the text)

How did you find the process of making your products and working as a team?. Honesty the process was quite aggravating, it takes alot of time to paint the rocks and alot of time to do the detail along with you have to wait for the spray to set and if you mess up you can't just hit reset or rub it off.

What did you enjoy and what did you not enjoy?. I didnt really have any highlights or challenges in the process I didnt particulary like it I really hated hated it but thats how I feel towards all ketes.

( personally I heavily dislike the ketes as there normally on such short notice take alot of work and focus keeping me away from stuff I want to focus on and get done |school work and other things| Also Its quite an annoying process to get done what we need to for the ketes along with the how much work we need to do. its also usually really boring. The kete in itself  is normally boring.)

How did market day go? did you enjoy it?. Though market day itself was fun you basically got to buy what you want sell your product and kinda just hang with friends when theyre free.

How did you show your school values?. I beleive I showed school values by respecting and taking my time with the customers and not pushing people to buy products.(like I kind of nudged them to but not like "HEY BUY THIS ITS CHEAP PLEASE I PROMIES YOULL LIKE IT" or something)

I dont have any pictures no one took pictures of our stall as far as I know.

Māori myths and legends

 Hello shes hes they's and anything in between!. welcome back to my blog or welcome to my blog if your new!.

Today we were tasked to read about a Māori myth we find on our slide show.

I decided to do mine on how Māui slowed the sun!. 

First we read the story we were given then answered the questions and did the tasks we were given. One of the tasks we were given was to make a poster asking for someone to help slow down the sun if Māui wasnt to be there to help.

I really like myths and fairytales more specifically the greek ones the demigods gods godesses and the creatures they bring in the storys are entertaining. Theyre always really fun to read.

Rousseau art work separation

This lesson and last lesson we were set with the task to cut up one of Rousseau's paintings then stick them aligned with there counter parts on a piece of paper. then we had to label the different parts of the painting background, foreground, middle ground, flora, foliage, repetition and fauna.

Personally i love Rousseau's art something about how he kept creating the art even after all the higher ups in the system put him down was inspiring. His art is really entrancing anyways.

These past 3 periods we've been working on another DLO for uncle dons knows heaps of wacky things. Once again we were told to select a topic from the book and create a DLO on that topic. 

This time I decided to make a DLO on Bats in New Zealand!.

This was fun I really like bats there cute.

As stated above I found the project fun I really like bats there cute and scary at the same time.

Yet not scary? like how they look can be a bit scary?. I don't really know how to describe it.

I find there species really cool and interesting though.

Elvers (Uncle Don Know Heaps Of Wacky Stuff)

Today I was tasked once again with creating a DLO on a subject in the book we have been reading bit by bit. (Uncle Don Knows Heaps Of Wacky Stuff)

My DLO was focused specifically on baby eels! Also known as Elvers.

Here is my work-

Before focusing on learning about Elvers I didn't really know what baby eels look like nor anything on them really. So it was quite fun learning something new about them!. 

I really like being able to do these DLOS as its a learning process for me on the topic and its quite fun designing and having this freedom with it. 

( I really like eels anyways. Whenever I go camping I'll always try and spot them in the rivers )

Making hokey pokey

 Aim:

Equipment

• Pot
• Wooden spoon
• 5 tablespoons of sugar
• 2 tablespoons of golden
• 1 tablespoon of baking powder (Sodium Bicarbonate, Sodium Hydrogen Carbonate)
• Stove (Bunsen burner)
• Baking powder

Instructions

1. Get your equipment ready.
2. Set up your Bunsen burner. (yellow safety flame)
3. Put your pot on the tripod and use the blue flame.
4. add the sugar and golden syrup to the pot.
5. Mix it with the wooden spoon.
6. stop mixing and turn off the Bunsen when the sugar begins to boil.
7. add the baking powder and mix.
8. pour the mixture onto the baking paper.
9. let it cool.

Term 3 reflection

What has been a term three highlight for you? A term three highlight for me was the lock down i dislike people. (like I don't like interacting)

How did you find lock down? Great as stated above I don't like people.

What has been your favorite subject this term? My favorite subject would have to be drama its quite fun and i really like it as were learning about melodrama tragedy and comedy.(just not the preforming part.)

What did you create this terms art kete? Nothing we just built stuff for challenges didn't focus on making anything. I hate all ketes id rather be in wananga. As ketes involve interacting with people and creating something. I for one hate interacting with people and also heavily dislike how we have to make something. As a lot of the time the project looks terrible or doesn't turn out well which i just find embarrassing to myself. 

What are you looking forward to in the holidays? Time to myself, Talking to friends, Spending time with family, SHUI!!, Binge watching shows, Sleeping and reading online.

Drama-Theater

Hello! welcome back to my blog or welcome to my blog if your new!. Today we were tasked with making a blog on what we have learnt in drama this term. Here is my work-

 Reflect

In drama this term we learnt about many different types of theater some of these include Melodrama, Comedy and tragedy ! (along with epic theater and physical theater.).

For drama we played a few games all quite fun for school. 

One of my favorites would have been the blink murder game. In this game there was the murderer and the "sheriff?". The murderers job was to blink at the normal players (which kills them) without being caught. The sheriffs job was to find out who the murderer without using up there three guesses. Yet as it was drama there was a catch. As and innocent if you were to die you had to preform a dramatic death like in a theater.

I really like this game as it was quite fun being so dramatic at a simple game. (and I genuinely like the game as I played it in primary school)

1. Tragedy-  Tragedy, this genre isn't one of my top faves as sometimes it can make me cry for days and sometimes it can emotionally move me to do something. A movie i have watched on this genre would be Avengers endgame. Even though only up to the end is where it gets really tragic this movie would still be one of the most tragic I've watched. Since i don't particularly like this genre that much.

2. Melodrama- Melodrama, Like tragedy its not one of my favorites yet sometimes it can entertain me with how dumb it is. I don't believe i have watched any movies on it to be honest. I think id remember if i did.

3. Comedy- I really love comedy as it can make even the most depressing scene funny. I have seen quite a few movies on comedy yet one i really loved was Zombieland (the first one i'm yet to see the second) even if it isn't particularly pg and is quite gory I love it. Even though I have Kinemortophobia.

Sand dunes

 Hello! and welcome to my blog or welcome back. Today we were tasked with reading chapters 8-11 on a book we have been reading. Along with that we were told to make a DLO on a topic that out book talks on. We even had to choose a DLO we don't use often or have never tried at all for the project.

For my DLO I decided to focus on sand dunes!. The little areas you can find on beaches that house animals and protect our inland.

Reflection:

Using a new app for the DLO was cool in a way as I found out canva is actually pretty fun to use. Before this I had tried canva before but never fully used it nor fully explored it.

Canva is really fun and ill definitely be using it in the future for similar projects. Ill definitely test out other apps with how using this one turned out.

What is an acid?.

What is acid?

An acid contains Hydrogen atoms that break off to react with a substance.

Litmus paper:

Blue Litmus paper goes red in acid.

Red Litmus paper stays red in acid.

Red Cabbage

 Aim:

I want to find out how to tell if something is an acid.

Method:

Equipment:

• Beaker
• Red Cabbage
• Hot water
• Dropper
• Test tubes
• Testing samples

Instructions:

1. Collect the equipment.
2. Tear the cabbage into pieces.
3. Put the cabbage bits into the beaker.
4. Pour 100ml of hot water into the beaker.
5. Add 2cm of acid into a test tube.
6. Then add 2cm of hydroxide into the test tube.
7. Add the cabbage juices into the test tubes.
8. Then mix the acid throughout the test tubes to see the results.

Making Sherbet

 Aim:

I want to find out how to make sherbet.

research:

Method:

Equipment:

• Icing Sugar and Raro
• Cup
• Citric Acid or Tartaric Acid
• Baking Powder
• Popsicle Stick (or any other type of mixer)
• Teaspoon

Instructions:

1. Gather all your equipment.
2. Add one teaspoon of sugar and raro too the cup.
3. Add half a teaspoon of acid to the cup.
4. Add half a teaspoon of baking powder to the cup.
5. Mix with the stick.
6. Taste test the sherbet, and adjust the flavor by re adding certain ingredients you feel it needs. 

Results:

What happens in the cup?Nothing its just still powder.

What happens in the cup?It froths up around your mouth.

Discussion:

Why did it foam in your mouth? I believe it foamed up in our mouth due to the acids reaction to our saliva as it does the same when out in your mouth alone.

Dress up as a painting!

 Recently my Wānanga class was assigned a task.

This task was too dress up as a painting yet you could also dress up your pets.

Well for mine I decided too dress up one of my cats!. (Gaia)

And! I even tried too edit her into the image. (it wasn't the best editing but it was something)

Yes I know its not the best but its the best I could do with a cat.

In conclusion this task has taught me on thing and one thing only. Cats don't really... well 'fancy' being dressed up.

Instructions:

1. get your equipment
2. divide your plate using a marker pen 
3. label the sections with what you swabbed 
4. take a cotton tip and swab a surface
5. gently swab the surfaces of the agar jelly ( dont press to hard youll break jelly )

Making Ginger Bear

This week Tuesday we started a project. This project is where we made ginger bear!.

Aim: i want to find out how to make ginger bear

Research ( 1 "how to make ginger bear clip 1 how yeast ferments drinks clip and 1 "FuNnY" ginger bear clip)

Method:

equipment-

1.cup

2. Popsicle stick

Ingredients used -

1. ginger (powder)

2. Yeast

3. sugar

4. lemon juice

5. warm water

Instructions.

1. gather your equipment

2. add warm water to your cup

3. Mix your ingredients in until your satisfied with the taste

Results:

Taste-

I feel like there was to much ginger in it yet i don't really like using to much ginger for anything i find it to spicy.

I wanted to add more lemon juice but decided against it and i kinda regret that now since it would have made it better.

It was a bit to sweet the results i think i added a bit to much sugar.

Yet against the flaws i cant lie it was pretty good for something like homemade ginger beer.

Van Gogh

 In Art class today we learnt about Van Goghs impasto art and answered some questions.

1.What does the word impasto mean? Look up the word in lexipedia.com, then type your answer here:Impasto is a type of painting where you thickly apply blobs of paint and then paint it out with either a brush or a palette knife.

2.How can an impasto brushstrokes express emotions? Apon how you feel it can express many emotions, rough brushstrokes and a lets say deserted wasteland could stand for anger.

3.Was Van Gogh one of the first painters to use impasto technique? Van Gogh Was one of the first artists to use the impasto technique.

The book we have been reading for a good part of last term is titled holes and the author of it is Louis Sachar!.

The book we where reading in class is about a kid whose accused of stealing, Then sent off to a (rehabilitation?) camp named 'Camp Green Lake' here they will do a certain task each day until there sentence there as over.

( i'm gonna call it a rehabilitation camp )

3.Who was your favorite character and why?.

I cant chose a favorite they all had good characteristics good lines and were just all and all good characters. 

4.Did you enjoy the book? why?.

Honestly i really liked the book!  I feel that it was a great plot! and an amazing idea i really enjoyed reading it  |i really wanna do silent reading / my own reading though :( |

5. What are the similarities and the differences from the book and the movie?. (one each)

Similarity

In both the movie and the book Stanley drove and crashed the water truck.

differences 

Stanley was meant to be a bit overweight in the book yet showed up quite skinny in the movie.

6.Did you enjoy the movie? why?.

Yeah i really enjoyed the movie i honestly prefer it over the book, I feel that i like the movie better since i can actually see the world.

7.would you recommend the book? who too?

I would recommend the book! that is to anyone who would read it (a lot of my friends don't like reading.)

Term 2 reflection

Term 2 highlight

A term 2 highlight for me was improving my writing and extending my vocabulary with a select few words.

Term 2 a time I showed resilience

A time I showed resilience was when I didn't give up even if the work got hard.

Once again I want to extend my vocabulary even further i'm aiming to be able to talk like a posh medieval message deliverer or whatever there called. 

I want to get better at writing and punctuation.

Shaping Up

Shaping Up

Recently in our math's Hurumanu aka shaping up we have been focusing on shapes lines and angles.

For this Hurumanu we learnt-

• Polygons

- We learnt about the different types of polygons and we did a fun task were we created some sort of abstract art by drawing multiple straight lines on a piece of paper and colored in each closed shape it made based on the amount of flat edges it had.

• Lines & Angles

- We learnt how to identify what line means what. We learnt what intersecting , perpendicular and parallel lines are.

• Reflection , Rotation , Translation

- We learnt what translation , Rotation and Reflection mean and how they work.

• Line Of Symmetry

- We learnt how the line of symmetry works and how to properly  copy the shape exactly how it is on the other side but flipped.

• Nets

- We learnt which different nets when put together make what shape.

• Scale

- We learnt different ways to work out times table equations. 

• Maps

- We learnt which ways is north west south and east.

My favorite part was the maps I really liked doing the maps as it wasn't to hard and it wasn't to east yet at times it could get challenging, it was also just a genuinely fun part of the Hurumanu

My least favorite part was when we had to do the x and y line thingy it was a bit hard and I still don't really understand it.

Recently for our counting the beat Hurumanu we have been focusing on music through the decades.

We would research upon music from 1900 - 2010.

Within this blog post I will be focusing on a specific decade of music I researched.

This decade is the 2000s.

------------

The 2000s, The 2000s was a decade filled with pop rock and many other genres but these were the main two.

The 2000s has to be my favorite decade of music, I really like a lot of the bands and singers of this time.

A few large singers / bands of this time included Michael Jackson, Madonna, Miley Cyrus, David Bowie and green day.

------------

Green Day has to be one of my favorite bands.

Green Day is a rock band the grew particularly large in 2004 when there hit song American Idiot released. 

American Idiot was honestly my favorite song by green day and was what got me interested into them.

Green days main band members include:

• Billie Joe Armstrong
• Mike Dirnt
• Tré Cool

Green Day has had many more members through the times yet they were lost along the way.

I really like music so this Hurumanu is really interesting and fun for me.

Fish in a tree chapters 1 - 8

recently we have been reading a book titled Fish in a tree, this book talks about a students struggles with school and with bullying.

I really love the book so far!.

here are my completed tasks!.

 Chapters 1 - 8 ‘in trouble again’ - ‘real trouble’

Reading comprehension:

1.The card which Ally gave Mrs Halls was a sympathy card, and i'm guessing that Mrs Halls may have taken that as i'm sorry you have to have this baby.

2.Ally was gonna apologies to Mrs Hall but chickened out in the moment and ran away.

3.Ally can't read so she describes it like a gift with no real use just to stare at it.

4.I don't really find anything too difficult at school but I guess math can get hard at times. I love all subjects at school but my favorites are definitely reading and writing.

5. Ally's mum is worried for Ally's future if she doesn't get a good education, and believes that her daughter just doesn't try hard enough in school.

A Time when I had a “silver dollar” day was when I met my best friend , Alexis (not to be mistaken with my other best friend Alexia, similar names I know) . On this day my friend created a voice chat where her followers on a writing app can chat with us. On this day me and Alexia were on a call playing roblox and Peachy (Alexis’ nickname) joined us, so we started talking and slowly became good friends.

(we've seen each others faces and taken precautions they are not a five year old or a 56 year old man so were good)

After looking at what the site ( Site Link ) had to say about the Walking Liberty coin I'm honestly more interested in finding out about different coin types and how old different coins are.

How i felt after reading the story:

After reading chapter 1 - chapter 8 I've grown to love the idea and plot for this story. Its great and enticing!, this story is a great way to express a students struggles in school and bullying.

Its a great story so far and theirs much much more of it for me to read.
