Red Cabbage

 Aim:

I want to find out how to tell if something is an acid.

Method:

Equipment:

  • Beaker
  • Red Cabbage
  • Hot water
  • Dropper
  • Test tubes
  • Testing samples

Instructions:

  1. Collect the equipment.
  2. Tear the cabbage into pieces.
  3. Put the cabbage bits into the beaker.
  4. Pour 100ml of hot water into the beaker.
  5. Add 2cm of acid into a test tube.
  6. Then add 2cm of hydroxide into the test tube.
  7. Add the cabbage juices into the test tubes.
  8. Then mix the acid throughout the test tubes to see the results.
