daylight saving

Research and answer the following questions about Daylight Saving NZ in a blog post


  1. When does Daylight Saving happen each year in New Zealand?its starts on september 27th


  1. What year did it start in NZ?it started in 1927

  2. Why was Daylight Saving started? Write at least 2 sentences to answer this question.

-so they know when they get a extra hour of daylight

-so they can keep track on when it happens

  1. Read the following article and write a paragraph (3-8 sentences) on whether or not you think that Daylight Saving should continue in New Zealand.

I genuinely think daylight savings should continue. It may be annoying. Yet its useful and fun. I think it should continue

  1. Do all the states in Australia have Daylight Saving? Not all  

Queensland, the Northern Territory, Western Australia, Christmas Island or the Cocos (Keeling) Islands.

  1. Write 3 tips to help others adjust to Daylight Saving this weekend.

-maybe practise before daylight saving

-maybe just turn it back to normal time

-maybe just accept it and try to deal with no fuss

  1. Show your completed work to the teacher and post it on your blog.
