In this Hurumanu we have been writing a story about heroes and villains. Mine is based off a zombie apocalypse. My story is 4010 words long here is my story
Apocalypse
~The end of the start and the start~

The glistening sand stood out like a sore thumb underneath the bright sun. The deep clear blue waters splashed along the small rocky barrier that some kids had built. Everyone was gathered in the middle of town square for the huge world wide parade / celebration.
“For a hot summer parade day I thought it would have been louder” Anne comments as she flys over to the beach side to land As Anne lands, a huge wave of groaning smacks her ears, “somethings definitely up..”she tucks in her shiny deep black wings into her hood .The waves are growing bigger and bigger by the second as they splash onto Anne, soaking her head to toe. The sand is clinging to her shoes as she marches up the concrete steps. Anne looks around trying to find any sign of people in the usually busy area for help. All of a sudden there is a huge group of humanoid creatures stumbling from the corner of a building. Annes greyish blue hair gets pulled back suddenly , “EEK” Anne whips her head around as fast as light to notice a humanoid creature trying to grab at her. Anne smacks the creature's hand away from her and then dashes away from the town.
“Huff… *heavy breathing* what was that?” “maybe the hospital might have something to cure these people!”. Anne runs to the hospital at full speed swinging the glass doors open and running past the front desk. As soon as Anne enters the halls she's swarmed with busy nurses and doctors dashing about carrying syringes, bandages and other weird medications into each of the different rooms. “AAA-” a fearsome scream echoes through the halls causing all the doctors and nurses to rush over to the door with the red flickering emergency light. Eventually one of the doctors walks in and is met with the patient crouching over something in the corner *RIPPPPPPP* *splat* different weird sounds echoing around the inside of the room.

The man slowly backs out of the room slamming the door shut. “Everyone in the vicinity put this building in lockdown!” he screamed. “Sir sir! What happened to that nurse?” screamed Anne.
“.... I think the patients that are here have been affected by whatever that huge humming sound was..”.
“Humming sound? Hmmm…. Doctor please go help put this place in lockdown, I'll guard the doors”. *SMASH* “I have a fire extinguisher incase”
“okay…” the Doctor grumbled.
Anne stands by waiting for any stir of movement or noise, yet there's silence.
“I would say it's peaceful but there is what seems to be a zombie apocalypse going on so that isn't such a calming thought..” Anne said to herself. The fluorescent lights start humming quietly again as Anne stands there not making any sound, afraid she may cause some sort of reaction with the medical people around her. More groaning sounds come from the room but it seems closer. “MISS I have a chair to hold the door!” called one of the doctors.
“Well thank you, but we may need more than that”. The lady runs off again. *groannnnnnnnn* *arghhhhh….*
“oh go-.....”
*BAM*
The door to the room swings open, to reveal another one of the humanoid creatures. This one was more damaged, it was missing a hand and had terribly pale skin as well as blood shot eyes. He stumbles slowly over to Anne as she notices blood covering his face as he chews on something.
“Well looks like a Zombie apocalypse can happen?...huh well good thing i have this fire extinguisher!”*BANG* “MISS ARE YOU OKAY-... i-is that the patient in the room?..”, “Yea i think whatever that sound thing was turned people into zombies..” “But zombies aren't real, they're a fairytale!”. “AAAAAAAAAAA” “oh god not again…” . Anne and the lady run over to the source of the sound to find a girl about Annes age getting dragged over by a zombie *BANG* “OH MY GOD THANK YOU THANK YOU I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO DIE!!!” “yeah yeah i mean we need as many people as we can have” her dark blue eyes glistening under the fluorescent lights “well let’s go” “w-where?” “to the other doctors of course!” “okay” Anne and the girl walked over to where all the footsteps were coming from “what happened to the patient!” one of the doctors said “ummm… well i think we may be going through a zombie apocalypse?..” “.....” “.........” “.....heh surprise?...” “A ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE” the girl screamed her dark brown hair flicking Anne in the eye “IS THE WORLD GOING TO END?!” “HELP HELP HELP ANYONE” “ZOMBIES?!” “WERE ALL GOING TO DIE” “no no no no I don’t think so as long as w-” “AAAAAAAAAAA” “oh god” “OH MY GOD THE MELLY IS A ZOMBIE TOOOOOO! She isn't even trying to kill meeeee!” “Melly? Who's Melly ``''oh Melly is the hospital mascot!” “mascot so a person in a suit? He may try to eat you, don't touch him!” “oh no no no Melly is a cat!”*GROANNNNN* “oh god what’s a ward that has no patients?!” “um ward 38!” “RUN GO GO GO I’LL FEND THEM OFF” “NO YOU SAVED MY LIFE NOW I’M GOING TO HELP YOU”
~A world of despair~
“There's too many of them and like every single ward is filled with them except ward 38” “I mean this is alot for one ward” “that's basically what I was saying!” “yeah yeah just shush and keep your guard up one could end up getting us behind” *groan!!* “OH GOD THERE'S MORE GO GO GO WARD 38! NOW” “YEAH THINK I WOULDN'T GET THAT” “YEAH YEAH JUST RUN” Anne and her new friend run at top speed up the stairs and up another flight of stairs then down a hall and around a corner to ward 38 “are…” “we….” “safe?...” “i…. Think?” “are you two okay?!” “oh there back?... are the zombies dead!?” “ummm no a huge hoard appeared out of nowhere and we had to retreat” a huge wave of silence washed over the huge crowd of doctors and survivors “me oooowwww~” “huh? What is that ''oh it's Melly she’s the cat we were talking about” “and she’s not trying to kill you?” “yeah think they may keep their personalities unlike the other types of zombies?” “So what if we had a vicious animal would it try to eat us or would it just hiss and scratch?” “well most vicious animals do bite so maybe if we had a vicious one it would try to eat us?” “okay well lets try setting up a base cause i suspect we may be here for a while” Anne and the other people in the building rush around finding food , water , medical equipment , and objects to block the door “i think that should hold them from breaking down the door” “most likely we put about ten tables and about fifty chairs on the door” “so now what? I mean were kinda trapped here shouldn't we try to find a way out?” “well i mean this is just the hospital there's a whole entire city out there so I suspect there may be more zombies out there then in here” “but there would be more space out there” “true” Anne shuffles over to the window to be met with a huge gathering of zombie cats pouncing around and meowing at each other “wow must be like a huge group of alley cats” “wait what?” “do they look friendly?” “yeah they look like kittens” “awwww can we get them up here? Can we can we can we?” “Well how would we anyway be trapped? If we had a way to get them up we would have a way to get us down” “true sorry kitties see you another time!” “heh now how will we be able to get out?” “Well like you said there may be more space and area to survive in out there but then there's also the risk of dying. I bet we could take some pillows, blankets and curtains and cushion the landing!” “only problem is the window has been nailed and boarded up because you guys went insane on the defensive “ “well I mean we were told that there is a zombie apocalypse going on outside!” “well any thoughtful person would realize that we have limited resources in an enclosed area and will run out faster this way” “heh.. That's a lie this hospital will keep us alive for a couple of months. Take it from me. I'm the doctor here!” “okay i'll just move to a different ward to get a way out of here!” “stupid! Zombies are in the other wards! You wouldn't last a second.” “your the stupid one here the zombies are swarmming in the center of the building becouse of all the natuaral noise comming from there i could easily loop around go into one of the wards lock all doors and then take out whatever zombies may be left there” “hah what if theres a horde of zombies in there!” “well I will chose wisely because I will choose a ward which is silent” “tch your smart well see if Icare im not responsible for your death” “i’d say the same for you” Anne slowly walks away hugging to the corners and shadows keeping out of the sight of the zombies bloodshot eyes ``miss… hey I followed you…” “okay….” Anne and the girl who follows her around everywhere walk through the halls of the groaning building finding the center area and seeing an empty ward just behind “it's not…. Too far away…..” “yeah… but we still… need to be…. Careful…” “okay i say we...run” “that….may be risky..” “but it's… one of ...are only chances…” “tch true… lets do it…” “okay…. 3” “2….1” Anne and her new friend make a dash for the door the horde only noticing when they zoom past the huge horde of zombies slowly stumble after them picking up pace as the stumble down the steep ramp in the middle of the room they make it to ward 49 and slam the door shut well trying but failing to lock the door the horde starts piling up trying to have a snack of human flesh *CLICK* “huff… I think we're safe for now?” “yeah maybe but that gave me a heart attack and we still have to lock the other door” “i can do it!” “oh thank you” Anne walks over to the other door locking it with much more ease “maybe it was a pressure thing” “maybe but then again we were both trying to lock it that may have been a part of it” “eh i guess we'll anyway i'll search to see if we have company or if we're all alone” Anne walks over checking each individual room from any sign of a life form “there doesn't seem to be any sight of zombies or an-” “MEAOOOOaWWWW” “i think Melly followed us” “aw now that i look at her she is so cute and honestly looks like a angel even though she is a zombie” Anne walks off again “you coming i need help checking the cabinets?” “well yeah but why did you choose this ward? We walked past thousands of wards yet we stop here so why?” “Well I was looking at the map outside the first ward we saw and apparently this ward has a huge cafeteria bit attached to it. It's just I don't know if anyone got turned into a zombie there” “well I guess we'll never know until we see for ourselves?~” “heh stop teasing~” the girl gives Anne a playful nudge “anyway we should introduce ourselves i’m Jane Jane Farrier” “im Anne Grace” “wel nice to meet you Anne” “okay let’s go check out the cafe” “yeah sure!”
~two birds on a wireeeee~
“Okay lets go check out the Cafe” “were already in the cafe stupid” “i knew that i was just testing you!” “yeah yeah well there doesn't seem to be any Zombies here jane? Did you hear me?” “Anne Anne look over here at these two cuties they dont seem to be affected look at these two birds just chilling on a wire” “heh there so free” “like we arent think on the bright side we could even steal a tv and stuff and just keep it even when civilization is back on its feet again!” “well this may have just happened to are country” “but it still could have affected others” “true…. I haven't told anyone this but i can fly..” “AND YOU DIDN'T THINK TO TELL ME THAT?! THAT COULD HAVE BEEN ARE WAY OUT!” “no no no not really i used them 2 hours ago it takes up to 5 hours to fully charge them” “how long do they work for if they are fully charged?” “about 2 days” “and how long do they work if they have been resting for 3 hours” “about 2 hours” “okay i have a plan! For the next hour lets gather resources and try and open window!” “okay? Jane where are you going with this?” “well maybe we could fly out of here” “.... that's literally the most simple idea and i didnt think of it……” “hahahahahaha Oh my god that's just so funny!haha!” “oh shut up and lets get this done”
“Okay Anne, I'm done collecting everything I think we may need. Did you get the window opened?” “yes i did, are we ready to go?” “yes okay so how are you going to get out of here?” “Well I can carry you and you could hold items?” “well i have three bags full… i could carry two but i don’t know about a third one” “i could hold it” “okay so do i just jump on your back” “yeah” “okay” Jane jumps on Annes back as Anne pulls out her wings Grabbing Janes feet to hold onto her and flies out through the window “OHHHH~ SUCH A VIEW WWW” “I KNOW , YA KNOW I NORMALLY SEE THIS DAILY” “THAT'S SO AWESOME” “WHERE SHOULD WE LAND?!” “MAYBE DOWN HERE?” “OOO~ MAYBE THE SEWERS THEN WE COULD TRAVEL AROUND TOWN EASILY AND IT WILL ALSO BE EASIER TO PROTECT” “TRUE AND THERE WON'T BE ANYONE DOWN THERE!” “OKAY IT'S DECIDED LETS LAND!” “YEP” Anne slowly floats down to the ground *thump* “aww my hairs so messed up but that was a nice view!” “Jane there's a Zombie apocalypse going on and you're worried about your hair” “yeah i know.. Well let's check out the sewers!” “okay cmon” Anne opens the sewer drains and helps Jane down “wow okay i'll go get the ba-” *HUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMBRRRRRRMMMMM* “WHAT WAS THAT!” “I DON’T KNOW!” “ugh another wave of humming!''a man's voice echoes from above “huh? Is anyone there?!” “wait where are you?” “i don’t think he can hear us Jane” “okay let’s go get the bags and see who he is” “yeah that's the main thing” Anne and Jane clamber up the ladder to leave the sewer Anne grabs the bags and throws them down onto the platform bellow Annes eyes meet with a black haired male fending off a horde of Zombies “HEY OVER HERE!” “huh?! Jane we dont even know him!” “WERE?!” “STUPID TO THE SEWER OVER HERE TO US” “OKAY OKAY I AM THANK YOU” “hurry Anne close it close it were all inside!” Anne slams the sewer drain shut and slowly climbs down the ladder to be met by Jane and the boy they rescued a few seconds ago the boy was actually only about a year older than her he had glowing dark red eyes “soooo what's your name?” “oh yeah um its Jacob Jacob Arlen” “cute name” “thank you?” “heh your welcome Jacob well now let's set up camp!” “Well this is a nice place with no water we should set up here” “also it has a ladder right here” “oh yeah that is pretty helpful” “well it's decided this is now the base!” “hey so Jacob how old are you?” “oh i'm nineteen and how old are you two?” “oh well i'm eighteen and i never did ask you how old you are so Jane how old are you?” “oh well i'm seventeen” “well we should start unpacking and designing are base!” “ummm Jane we have no furniture..” “Hey Jacob thinking what i'm thinking?” “I think” “WE SHOULD GO STEAL RANDOM STUFF FROM PEOPLE’S HOUSES!” Jacob and Jane said in union “....that sounds pretty fun to be honest” “WOOOOO i knew you would agree!!!!” “hah.. Well what are you waiting for?” “well i'm waiting for dream and George to start dating” “same but i mean we should go now” “oh yeah” Anne Jacob and Jane clamber up the ladder and out of the sewer to the outside world “Wow its so deserted” “i mean what do you expect there's a zombie apocalypse going on” “well let's go check out the houses along here” Jane runs up to a house and tries to bulldoze the door but it just opens on impact “umm Jane i Think it was already open..” “i knew that i just wanted tooooo…. Run!” “*snicker* HAHAHAHAHA oh my god that's just hilarious!” “Shut up Jacob!” “Guys don't fight, let's just check for any furniture to.. Borrow” “steal?” “steal?” “well yeah but it sounds wrong to say steal” “Anne i know your not a goody two shoes don't act” “GUYS THEY HAVE A HUGE FLAT SCREEN TVVVVVVV” “Jane i don't think we have internet” “well okay let's just grab the furniture and head back” “okay” Anne Jacob and Jane carry and place all the items they collected from the house in the sewer “so now we decorate?” “no just leave it i mean we are in the middle of a worldwide crisis” “true so how are we gonna solve this?” “fin-” “Hello lovelies~” “WHO ARE YOU” “ooooo my Names Allie~ so you guys are the ones that own that supper powered git?” “i am not an object!” “OHHOHO~ so your that girl that has those flashy wings huh?” “Yeah and!” Anne pushes her friends back and brings out her wings keeping her friends behind her “OHHO~ i dont want to fight you i just want to rip those shiny wings out of your back~!” “YOUR INSANE” “ooooo~ I INDEED AM I WAS THE ONE THAT STARTED THIS CHAOS ALL FOR YOUR STUPID WINGS WELL YOU MUST FEEL VERY SPECIAL TO HEAR THAT~!” “HOW THE HELL WOULD YOU EVEN GET MY WINGS IF YOUR MINDLESS FRIENDS WERE TO KILL ME?!” “oh! That's why I programmed them to Bring them to me upon your death” “first of how do you brainwash humans to do that second of what do you expect them to do to rip them from my back?!” “YES YES EXACTLY THAT!” “...your sick” “i know , Now! if your not at these cords within five hours i will send out a much more powerful wave which will go through anything and i will rule this world~!” “tch fine” “what was that?” “I'LL GO OKAY HAPPY?!” “indeed i am~! Thank you Anne for this ever so entertaining show!” the lady disappears again “what are we going to do Anne” “tch i could easily fly us to these cords” “really?” “yeah it's only a hour away” “okay Anne are you okay to go alone?” “yes i will be” “do yo-” Anne spreads her wings and flies out through the manhole in the roof Anne flys for a few minutes and spots a huge horde of Zombies chasing her “Damn she's smart now its gonna be harder to land” Anne reaches the base as a bullet flies past her head “HUH? GOD DAMMIT WHO SETS UP FRANDOM TURRETS OUTSIDE THEIR HOUSE?!” Anne dodges the bullets and smashes through the glass roof leading to a machine containing some green goop with a huge lever next to it “oh so you did show up and faster than i expected! Well lets dance~” Anne and Allie get into a huge dog fight Anne nearly getting stabbed by the tables and chairs nearby Allie makes a grab for Annes wings but Anne does a full turn knocking her down “tch hahahahahahahahaha this is so unfair im meant to get my way i'm meant to win!” “ wouldn't recommend fighting your just gonna damage yourself more” “hahahahaha” Allie makes a dash for the big lever but Anne gets there before her punching Allie in the stomach knocking her out cold “now is there away to reverse the infected” “maybe this other levear?” Anne flicks the leaver and a huge screeching sound rings in her ears “did that fix it” Anne takes a step outside to find a group of people in tattered clothes lying on the floor “wow i guess it did well lets just get her to the authorities than i suspect they may be there for reports on why everyone including them fell asleep” Anne flies back to town were there is a huge line of people swarming the station “excuse me coming through” “ANNE!” “ANNE!” “OH MY GOD YOUR ALIVE wait is that her?....” “yes i knocked her out and wanted to turn her in “MA AM you can not just skip the line” “sir my name is Anne and i have defeated the person who caused this and turned everyone back!” “you have no proof” Anne drops Allie on the floor in front of the man “here just take her and lock her up we don't need her starting the apocalypse for a second time” “wa-” Anne grabs Jacob and Jane and flies them out of there too Allies destroyed base “why are we here?” “was this her base” “yeah and i thought you guys would like to help destroy the machinery?” “Gladly!” Anne Jacob and Jane Grab Huge bits of metal and wood and start smashing the different objects and machines in the area “heh that was fun well maybe we should call it a day?” “obviously we've been through enough” “well i mean all it was was a zombie apocalypse” “all it was?! We nearly died!” “Jacob calm down i was joking” “well i think we do deserve a big long rest” “yeah well see you guys tomorrow?” “yeah that would be nice” Anne flies back to her house changes and falls asleep ready for the next day
