chch earthquakes
in class we were told to study chch earthquakes and what happened as well as the outcomes. here is my work.
I am a student at in Uru Mānuka. In 2020 I was a year 7 and in 2021 I will be a year 8. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Please note....some work won't be edited - just my first drafts, so there may be some surface errors. I would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas.

What are two reasons Mercury lost most of its atmosphere? one reason is the little gas it has. The gas is trillions of sizes thinner then air on the surface of earth. The planets size also plays a part in why mercury has basically no atmosphere.
-mercury and earth distances from the sun-
mercury-60.108 million km
earth-147.7 million km
-distance between each other:190.62 million km-
-mercury and earths mass-
mercury-3.285 × 10^23 kg
earth-5.972 × 10^24 kg
how does not having an atmosphere affect the temp on mercury?since theirs basically no atmosphere it can not retain the heat.
Fun Run
(what goes around comes around then around comes back to you)
on Wednesday November 18th our school did a Fun Run to raise money for kids can we raised this money for kids can because they donate food clothing shoes etc to our school.
on the fun run day most people where wearing white like we were asked to if possible but some people where just wearing there PE gear.
what the fun run was was the park across the rode from use but with obstacles and a marked out area for where we run. The teachers had squrt bottles with colored dust in them for when you run by they would squirt it at you then some other teachers a bit ahead would normally have water and then you do the run and go back to the start. Then theirs a second run where you do the same run but instead of going back to the start you run down a hill and do another course before going to the start. The second course includes obstacles like a bouncy castle which you have to race whoever is next to you through or hurdles and tires etc.
My favorite part about this run was the bouncy castle me and my friend nearly tied but i got down at least a second before her.
there where police there to do sirens and squirt people with water guns.
i went in my PE gear because i didn't have a white T-shirt.
this day was really fun and a good idea to raise money for kids can.
in class we studied protests and i mainly studied women suffrage but i still did protests here's the slideshow i made
Gravity
Is gravity the same on all planets?
-No gravity is not the same on all planets it depends on the size and what the planet is made out of.
How is gravity related to mass?
-The bigger the planet is and the more solid it is the more you'll get pulled towards it.
Calculate your weight on the other planets in our solar system.
-If I was on mars(since I don't know my weight i'm saying 30kgs) and say I was 30kgs on mars I would weigh 37.83% then what I way on earth.
-If I was to be on Venus and I weigh 30kgs I would weigh 90.42% more.
-If I was to be on the moon I would weigh 16.5% more then what I normally do.
How would your life be different if you lived on a planet with higher gravity and lower gravity?.
-Higher-
If I was to live on lets say Jupiter I most likely wouldn't survive because of all the force holding me down but if I was to be id barely be able to move.
-Lower-
Mercury it would be like the moon but way way harder if you were to jump you would go very high and it also has extreme temperature making it most unlikely to live there as well as because of the low gravity it would turn you inside out.
